A clean water source is the single non-negotiable for any off-grid setup. Your filtration system determines whether you’re drinking confidently or gambling with giardia every morning — and the wrong call on that is a medevac, not a bad day.

Portable Pump Filters: When You’re Moving Around

If your off-grid living involves mobility — a truck camper, a float trip basecamp, or a cabin you access seasonally — a pump filter gives you flexibility gravity systems can’t match.

A $75 filter that doesn’t address your actual contamination threat is worse than useless — it tells you the water is fine when it isn’t.
