How to Choose a Kayak Size: Length, Width & Weight Capacity Explained

The Short Answer

Three variables determine kayak size: your body weight plus gear, your water type, and how you want the boat to handle. Get one wrong and you’re fighting the hull all day. Get all three right and the boat stops feeling like a boat.
